Olen nyt virallisesti kokenut ensimmäisen Super Bowl-viikonloppuni. Eilen mentiin Smithtownissa, Long Islandilla sijaitsevaan Croxley's sports bariin katsomaan peliä. 50 dollarilla sai syödä ja juoda niin paljon kuin napa vetää. Menussa oli mm. Croxley'sin kuuluisia kanansiipiä, mac n cheese, pretzels, makkaroita, chilimuhennosta, hot dogeja... hmm.. unohdinkohan jotain?
Tv-screenejä oli ainakin parikymmentä ja tunnelma katossa. Palvelu oli tosi ystävällistä ja juomat tuotiin pöytään, vaikka muuten tässä paikassa oli aika buffet meininki. Amerikkalaisesta jalkapallosta en lopulta ymmärtänyt ihan hirveästi (muuta kuin, että Baltimorea piti kannattaa!), mutta Beyoncen puoliaika show oli kyllä upea!! Ensi vuonna Super Bowl pelataan kuulemma New Yorkissa, mikä tulee olemaan vielä jännempää ja lupaan, että siihen mennessä minäkin olen opetellut amerikkalaisen jalkapallon säännöt, haha!

I have officially experienced my first Super Bowl-weekend. Yesterday, we went to a sports bar called Croxley's in Smithtown, Long Island to see the game. With 50 dollars you were able to eat and drink as much as you can. There were Croxley's famous chicken wings, mac n cheese, pretzels, sausages, chilli, hot dogs... hmm... did I forget something?
There were dozens of tv-screens and the atmosphere was great! The service was very friendly and they brought all the drinks to tables, although for the food there was a buffet. I didn't understand much about american football (except that I was suppose to support Baltimore), but Beyonce's halftime-show was amazing!! I heard that next year Super Bowl will be in New York, which is gonna be even more exciting! And I promise that by then I have learned the rules of this game, haha!
